Our Founder, Rachel, started TPTC because as a teacher herself, she just couldn’t find a planner that met her needs. We’ve had such an amazing journey with our fantastic community, and now have a range of planners that helps so many teachers and non-teaching school staff, as well as all kinds of other people. We always love seeing the different ways you use our planners! But with so many planners and stationery choices, why choose TPTC? It’s always been our mission to create a happy place for teachers, but we also have some really strong values that we bring to our products and our business, so let’s have a chat about them.
Quality
Quality is so important to us. We’ve been on our own journey, always changing and improving things so we can create the best quality product we can. It’s important to us that your products are good quality – we’re former teachers ourselves, so we know that planner is getting popped into a handbag and taken all over the place day after day. It needs to be good quality so it can take a bit of a bash! You can see this value in choices we make, like the way the planners are bound. We use a spiral, which means that it’s bound together with one, solid piece of metal. This is stronger than a ringbound book – you know when one of the rings pops out of the top of a planner and the pages start coming out? That doesn’t happen with our binding!
Customer Service
We pride ourselves on having great, personalised customer service. We’re a small team and we regularly show everyone’s lovely faces on our social media, so when you get in touch you’ll know who you’re speaking to and be able to put a face to a name. We have a big range of products and multiple planner options, and we love being able to chat with you about which one will work best for you. Our Community
Over the years, we’ve built up a strong community of teachers and non-teachers, and we are so grateful for everyone’s support. We regularly reach out to the community for feedback on how we can improve our products, what features you use most and what features you’d like to see. We have a great Facebook group (you can find it here!) where the community shares inspiration for how they’ve used and decorated their planners, and we love to see how everyone uses them in such unique and creative ways. Whether you’re in the Facebook group, you comment on our Insta or TikTok, or you’re a silent follower who buys a teacher planner every year, we value you and we’re so happy to have you with us.
Charity Partners
We love being able to support charities with our products, and like to find different ways to do this. Last year, we worked with Education Support, a charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of teachers and education staff. We chose one of our designs, Stationery Love, to be our charity design, and proceeds from every sale of a product with this design went to the charity. We featured a blog post all about Education Support, find that here if you’re interested in hearing more about them. This year, we’ll be partnering with a charity again.
Supporting Independent Artists
One of our favourite parts of the job is picking out the new cover design options each year – it’s so exciting! One of the ways we choose our unique designs is by working with amazing independent artists to create something really special. Like our brand new cover for 2025/2026, Candied Petals! This beautiful design was created by talented Australian artist, Shannon Berg. We love being able to work with artists to create something beautiful that's tailor made just for our community.
Planners with Personality
It’s always been our goal to create a planner that not only is super functional and useful for teaching specifically, but that also has some personality! That’s why we have a wide range of different designs available each year, so you can choose one that most suits your style and your vibe. We love to see debates going on which design is everyone’s favourite! We also like to add little touches like positive messages and mantras throughout, to keep you motivated during the school year. We love injecting our positive attitude and personality into our planners, so hopefully they can bring a little positivity and fun into your work day.
