Our Founder, Rachel, started The Positive Teacher Company while she was still teaching because she simply couldn't find a planner that truly met her needs. Since then, we've been on an incredible journey with our amazing TPTC community, creating planners that support teachers, school staff and anyone who loves to feel organised.

Our mission has always been to create a happy place for teachers but there's much more behind our products than beautiful designs. We have a set of values that shape the way we create our planners, work with our community and run our business. So, let's tell you a little more about what matters to us.
Designed by Teachers, for Teachers
Our products have been created with a real understanding of what life in the classroom looks like, from busy timetables and endless to-do lists to meetings, lesson planning and everything else teachers juggle throughout the school year.
As former teachers ourselves, we know that a Teacher Planner needs to do more than look beautiful. It needs to be practical, durable and genuinely useful which is why so much thought goes into the pages, layouts and features we include.
We also continue to listen to teachers in our TPTC community, using your feedback and ideas to improve our planners year after year. It's a combination of our own classroom experience and your real-life feedback that helps us create planners truly designed with teachers in mind.
Quality
Quality is incredibly important to us, and we're always looking for ways to improve our products and make them even better. As former teachers ourselves, we know your planner isn't going to sit perfectly on a desk all year – it's going to be popped into bags, carried around school and used day after day. It needs to be made to handle it!
You'll see this in the little details. Our planners are bound with a continuous metal spiral, made from one solid piece of metal for a strong and durable finish. Unlike individual ring binding, there aren't separate rings that can pop open and allow pages to come loose.
We also add metal corner protectors that coordinate with the spiral binding and use thick, high-quality 120gsm paper that's lovely to write on and sturdy enough for everyday use.
It's all part of making sure your planner is ready to keep up with you throughout the school year.
Planners with Personality
We've always wanted our planners to be more than just practical. While they're packed with useful features designed with teachers in mind, we also want them to bring a little personality and joy to your working day.
That's why we offer a wide range of cover designs each year, so you can choose one that really suits your style and we always enjoy seeing the debates over which design is everyone's favourite!
You'll also find little touches throughout your planner, from positive messages to uplifting mantras, designed to give you a boost during even the busiest school weeks.

Over the years, we've built an amazing community of teachers, school staff and stationery lovers and we're incredibly grateful for your continued support.
Your feedback plays a huge part in what we do. We regularly ask what you love about our products, which features you use most and what you'd like to see next, helping us shape and improve our planners year after year.
We also have our wonderful TPTC Planner Inspiration Facebook Group, where you can share ideas, inspiration and all the creative ways you've used and decorated your planners. We absolutely love seeing how you make them your own! We pride ourselves on offering friendly, personalised customer service. We're a small team and you'll often see our faces popping up on social media, so when you get in touch, you'll know there's a real person at the other end who genuinely wants to help.

Supporting Independent Artists
One of our favourite parts of creating a new planner collection is choosing the cover designs and we love working with talented independent artists to bring something truly unique to the TPTC community.
Each year, we're delighted to work with a mix of returning artists and new creatives, collaborating with them to create beautiful, original artwork for our products. We love continuing relationships with artists we've worked with before, while also discovering new talent and bringing fresh styles to our collections.
It's a wonderful way for us to support independent creatives while bringing unique designs to your favourite planners and stationery and we love seeing their artwork come to life on TPTC products!
Charity Partners
Being able to use our products and platform to support causes we care about is really important to us. With the incredible support of our TPTC community, we've raised over £25,000 for charity so far!
We're proud to partner with Education Support, a charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of teachers and education staff. Our Verdant Veil artwork is this year's charity design, with proceeds from every planner sold in this design helping to support their important work.
We're also proud to support St Teresa's Hospice through our Golden Coast Planners, with proceeds from every planner sold in this design helping to fund the fantastic work they do.
We're so grateful that, with the support of our TPTC community, we're able to give something back through the products we create.
