A Teacher’s Guide To Being Super Organised in 2024/2025

A Teacher’s Guide To Being Super Organised in 2024/2025

What’s a teacher’s best secret weapon? The right stationery! Teachers have a lot of different things to plan and organise, juggling lots of different things at once all throughout the year. We think that having the perfect planner is a great way to stay on top of things, so here’s our guide to putting together the perfect combination of planners and notebooks to suit your specific role.

Step 1 – Consider your needs

We make planners for teachers and any people that work within the school year. But there are so many different roles within that, and they all need slightly different things. If you’re a primary teacher that’s also maths subject lead, you may need something different than a member of SLT or the school business manager. Does your role involve planning lessons? If so, then you’ll probably do best with our Teacher Planner, as it comes with lots of lesson planning pages and term plans. If not, then think about how you like to plan out your weeks, and in how much detail. Would a daily or a weekly planner work best?

Your planner isn’t just something you write in, it’s a hardworking tool that, if you get the right one, can do some of the heavy lifting for you! If you’re not sure, have a look at our blog post where we compare the Teacher Planner with the Weekly Planner, and this one where we compare the Teacher Planner with the Daily Planner.

Step 2 – Enhance your planner

Now you’ve got your planner to plan out your day to day, think about your responsibilities and what kind of notebook may help you to manage your tasks. If you’re a teacher, you may want somewhere you can keep lists, notes and ideas, as there’s always something to note down and plan out. You could try our A4 Notebook, as it has dedicated To Do list pages and mind map templates. If you’re a subject leader, you may want to use our Subject Leader Journal alongside your planner, to separate out your own teaching from your subject leader responsibilities. It has dedicated term planner pages, learning walk records, and other helpful pages for documenting your work.

If you’re a teaching assistant, you may want to use our Student Records Notebook as a place to note the progress of different children you work with, especially if you work in different classes across the school. If you’re a new teacher, you could add the First Year of Teaching Reflective Journal, as a place to keep memories from your first teaching job.

Step 3 – Add some joy

We love to add a bit of positivity and joy to everything we do, which is why we make our planners and notepads in a range of beautiful colours, so you can choose one that speaks to you and your aesthetic. So have some fun looking through all the different cover designs and choosing your favourite one! Then, you can add some fun and helpful extras to your stationery collection for the next school year, like a monthly planner pad, an academic wall calendar, or an A5 notebook that’s designed to fit into the inside pocket of our planners. We also make lots of fun and colourful extras, like pen loops and elastics for your planners, and lanyards to hold your essentials like your ID.

Build your bundle!

Every role at every school is different and comes with a different set of responsibilities. One teacher may be a subject lead at a primary school while another is head of year at a secondary school. One school business manager may be for a one-form primary and another may be for a much larger secondary. No two jobs are ever the same in education, and that’s why having the right combination of helpful planner and notebooks can really help you to stay organised. So we created the bundle builder! Our bundle builder lets you pick your personalised set of planner, notebook, and accessories that suits exactly your needs, all while saving you some money. Have a look and build your bundle here!
