Christmas is getting ever closer (we’re sure lots of your children have started talking about it already!) and many of you may be thinking about getting a gift for your child’s school teacher. Of course, they aren’t necessary – no teacher is keeping track of which parents have and haven’t given them a gift! But we know that many parents like to get a Christmas present for their child’s teacher to show their gratitude for supporting their child and to say ‘Merry Christmas’. Teachers will always be happy with just a card, but if you’re looking to get them something more, or you’ve organised a parent pool to get one gift from the whole class, then we’ve got a few ideas for Christmas Presents your child’s teacher will love…

Personalised Staffroom Mug
We’re super excited to launch our new Staffroom Mug, which you can personalise to include your name and your favourite drink! If you like your tea very milky, let everyone know with the mug. If you like a sweetener over a sugar, pop it on the mug! Then if some kind person is making a round of teas and coffees, they’ll always know how you like yours. This is a great gift for a teacher, but you might have to enlist your child as a secret spy to find out how your teacher likes their tea or coffee. You could even use this information to add an extra gift – include a special bag of coffee or tea bags with their mug.
A Handwritten Card
The thing that teachers value most is always the notes and drawings from their students. We know lots of teachers who keep folders of these so they can keep them and look back on them. If your child is up for it, a hand written card is a great present for a teacher. If your child can’t get excited about writing a Christmas card, they could always add a fun drawing to the card! If you’re looking for a teacher card, we’ve got a fun one which says ‘Teachers Always Make the Nice List’ – check it out here.
Personalised Mini Tote Bag
We had these in our Christmas Countdown boxes and so many of you told us how much you loved them, so we’ve brought them back for our Christmas collection. The totes are a thick canvas fabric with a structured base and handles, so they’re strong and can take being schlepped around between home and school every day. This mini size is great for lunches and extra bits and bobs. They have a front pocket which can be personalised with a name or a quote in a mix of black and gold lettering. So you could add your child’s teacher’s name to the bag, or add a fun, positive slogan!
A Coaster
This is a great gift idea for both teachers and teaching assistants! If your child is lucky enough to have a class TA, then you may be looking for a gift for them as well. Our coasters make a fun little present, and we love these because they’re super functional and can actually be used every day – we love a present with a practical purpose! Pick from ‘Teachers Always Make the Nice List’ and ‘Teaching Assistants Always Make the Nice List’, or grab both – one for your child’s teacher and one for the teaching assistant!
A Pretty Notebook
Another idea that’s super practical and will get a lot of use is a pretty notepad. In our experience, most teachers have a strong appreciation for (or for some of us, as obsession with) good stationery. Our notebooks are designed with teachers in mind so they are super strong, with a metal spiral binding and metal corner protectors, and thick 120gsm paper. Importantly for us, they have beautiful designs and look super pretty on a teacher’s desk! Teachers always have a reason to take notes, write down plans, and scribble down ideas, so there’s always a good use for a new notepad.
