There are two kinds of people out there: those whose year starts in January, and those whose year starts in September. Maybe there’s also a third kind of person who does both! If you’re a teacher or you work in a school, you’ll see lots of planners that work for an academic year, so they’ll start in August or September, and that’s what most of our planners do. But sometimes, you need to track the ACTUAL year, so we’ve got you covered there too! Maybe you like a calendar year planner for your personal life and an academic planner for school, or maybe you don’t work in a school but you just like our planner layout! Whatever the reason, this weekly annual planner is here to help you plan out your year.
The Basics
First, let’s cover the basics. It comes in B5 size, which we think is ideal for those that like to plan a lot (so A5 may be too small!) but you still want it in a handy enough size to put in a handbag and take out with you. There are 4 cover designs to choose from, find them here, and it’s bound with a sturdy metal spiral. There’s also metal hardware on the corners to protect it, so you don’t have to worry about it getting bumped in your handbag. It runs from January-December 2025 and has a weekly layout – we’ll get more into that in a moment.
Monthly Pages
The planner opens with a month calendar for each month of the year, all together at the front. Each one is a double page spread with a calendar, a big box to write in for each day, and a notes section at the side. We’ve put all these monthly pages together at the front, so you can plan out your year in lots of detail. You could use these pages to track birthdays, annual events, dates of important annual bills or subscription renewals, appointments, car-related tasks – anything you know is going to come up throughout the year. There are lots of other ways you could use it too! The boxes are a good size, so you could use it as a little gratitude journal, and write in each day something small you’re grateful for.
The Weekly Dashboard
Before each weekly spread, you have a double page dashboard where you can plan and prepare for the week ahead. There’s a space where you can list your top three priorities for the week, plus checkboxes so you can tick them off. There’s a long To Do list so you can think about any tasks you have that week – then when you’re planning your week out you can check back here and distribute your To Dos across the week in places where you’ll have time for them. There are also some spaces that encourage you to take a moment for yourself: a personal goal for the week, a self-care activity, something you’re grateful for, and a habit tracker. Then there’s a full page that’s just lined, so you can brainstorm ideas, plan something out, make lists – whatever you need to do that week.
The Weekly Pages
Here’s where it all happens! The weekly pages have a vertical layout, with a full column for each day, including each weekend day. At the top is a box for ‘all day events’ that you can use for big things you want to remember, like birthdays or special events. Then there are 8 blank boxes in each column. You can use these however you like, we’ve kept them blank so you can be really flexible. If you work part time, you might want to add some timings to each box on your work days, like 9am-4pm, but then you might not need this on your non-work days. You could assign a box to each member of your family, you could assign a box for each meal for the day so you can meal plan, or you could plan a different To Do item in each box. Or a mix! Add your child’s activities in one box, your appointments in the next one, the day’s dinner plan in another, and use the rest as a daily To Do list.
Next to all of these, along the side of the page, are a few boxes with some more things to help you plan and feel positive about your week – which is what we’re all about here at TPTC! There’s a box to share something you achieved, the highlight of your week, a place to reflect, and anything you need to remember for next week.
The Extras
It wouldn’t be a TPTC planner without a few added extras! At the back of the planner there are 19 dotted notes pages, for you to use however you like. Make notes, lists, plan projects, note Christmas present ideas, set goals – whatever you need! There are also some extras at the front of the planner. There are two ‘weekly routines’ pages, which are laid out like timetables. You can use these to keep track of regular activities, like toddler class times, nursery times, or exercise classes you like to go to. There are two provided, so you could use one for work and one for home, or one for you and one for your children, or leave the second one for later in the year if you’re likely to have a change in your routine. There are also pages to track important info like your logins and important contacts.
If you want to take a look at the planners and choose which cover design you like the best, you can find them all here. If you want to take an even closer look at what’s inside our annual weekly planner, then check out the video below for a full walkthrough.
